ALL MY LIFE...WHO AM I??


Hi all....my name is Matteo Cipolla.I was born on August 10th 1978....so that means that i'll soon turn 20yrs old.I live in a small town outside Milan ,Italy ,and here's some little things that may help you to know me a little better.

Childood
My childhood was pretty normal ,i didn't have any family problems ,but I started to see how fucked up things in the world were and still are.I loved playing football with my friends an spending many hours watching T.V....with cartoons like the Simpsons or movies like "Star Wars" and "Nightmare" being the highlights.I was also pretty good at school ,at least until I was more or less 13 or 14.That was the age I started to be attracted to things like music ,girls and fun.The beginning of the end..eh eh


Music ,Girls and the easy way of Getting Bored...
I started "listening" to music when I was about 10 ,and the first bands that really hooked me were Guns n' Roses ,Nine Inch Nails and later Pearl Jam.Yeah ,when Pearl Jam came out I started to realize that I was much more than a simple "music fan"...I was a really music addict!!I read magazines as much as possible and tried to go to see all the cool bands that played in Milan (something that I still do up to these days).
As lots of other 14/15 yrs old kids I started to make my hair growing ,thinkin' that they were "cool".It worked though ,cuz I started to know the opposite sex much better ,and expecially to do all those things that since then had only existed in my wild dreams or in some adult magazines.Love wasn't that good though...I started to suffer and sometimes music was the only escape to a world full of lies and boredom.
Yeah ,I spent so many hours locked in my room staring at my Korn and Smashing Pumpkins posters that I could actually draw all of them...eh eh.The natural step for a kid like me was to play an instrument.
I never had a proper band ,beside a bunch of assholes that only wanted to play Metallica covers (open yr mind!).I guess that I'll never find someone to play with ,cuz my mind is too open for a country like Italy.A country where the majority of people consider bands like Pearl Jam "metal" and where almost everyone is stuck on German metal bands or shit like Iron Maiden and Dream Theather...The songs I write are all different....and I write a Korn style song followed by one that could remind you of the Counting Crows ,then i have some cool riffs à la Sepultura and some cool tunes that are similar to Smashing Pumpkins....U know ,definitely something too difficult to understand for narrow minded people.


School
I went to a Private Christian School for 5 years.There I studied 3 languages :french ,english and german (I really sucked at German though....eh eh).The school was really big ,and it was attended mainly by girls.It was like...400 girls and about 20 ugly guys..ah ah.At first it was great ,but as the time passed by ,I started to feel like a freak ,an outcast.All my friends found at school people with whom share some ideas and to go out with...but since the school was full of rich stinkin' girls ,I found myself alone.I soon started to realize that the only way to win over them was to stop being their joke and to actually start jokin' them.It worked...cuz instead of fighting the mainstream ,I became that.
I gained respect and power ,and people accepted my views ,ideas and started considering me more as a human and than a freak of nature or a cartoon.Everything worked pretty much ,and school became a cool place to reign.Now that i am at University (btw i study law) i miss that place....


Ale
Things worked not only at school ,but outside that as well.I had lots of friends and had lots of fun.Girls were there as well...and until then I guess I had just prooved something that could be called "love" just once.But on March 30 1996 I met another girl that changed my life.Her name is Alessandra ( here's a pic ) and a friend of mine introduced her to me.We started seeing each other and we got together in July...it was great ,and i swear i never loved a girl like that.I would have given everything to her...and she felt the same.To be honest ,at first it was her who felt much more...but later i started to get where she already was :a place called love.I was naive ,and believe that our passion and love would last forever.Unfortunately I was wrong ,and a year and a half later ,she left me.Months of suffering and tears followed ,with cds like "The Downward Spiral" and "Pretty Hate Machine" by Nine Inch Nails being the soundtrack to my desperate days.Then ,God knows why ,I met her again last March ,and since then we started to see each other again.The situation now it's extra weird ,but at least she's here again.For how long is anyone's guess...


Trips
I had the chance to visit some cool places around the world in the last years (mainly due to the fact that my father ,who works at the Milan airport ,had some "conncetions") included Germany ,the U.K. (London) and Singapore.Beside that I went 4 times in the U.S.A. ,the greatest counrty of the world.I dunno why ,but I have always loved the american way.It's so cool...and I love american people as well.Everytime I have been there ,they have always been great with me....so I can't do anything but to underline how great those people are.Americans rule!!!(expecially girls!!!eh eh).


Movies
I have always been into movies ,expecially scary movies and thriller.I enjoy some funny movie as well...and i think Jim Carrey rulz.Among my favourite ever movies are "Scream" ,"Pulp Fiction" ,"Nightmare" ,"Friday 13th-Jason" (sorry but the title is different over here so I dunno how is called over there) ,Private Parts" ,"Natural Born Killers" ,"Ace Ventura" ,"Dumb and Dumber" ,"The Crow".....
I also enjoy serial tv as well..for exemple X-Files and the greatest thing ever screened on Tv....The Simpsons!!!!That cartoon really rule...and Homer is god!!!!!anyway ,i cant wait to see SouthPark as well....i hope they'll broadcast it over here soon....

Writings and Radio
Yeah ,i have always loved writing....at school ,it was the only thing i really enjoyed.It's something i still do these days.I am writing a sort of book about the italian way of living....a sort of analisys in a very very funny way...What i like best though is to write about music.I wrote for some months for a rock magazine over here ,and now i hope to start writing for another one very soon.Beside that I also write for some sites on the net...so if u wanna read some interviews or reviews ,just go to the Loudside of the Web and check out the Cut the Edge....some articles are there.Then there are some more here....at the Musicboom!...which unfortuntely is in italian....
Oh well ,I also host a weekly radio show in a local radio...and through that I got to know many bands such as Machine Head ,Everclear ,Korn ,Garbage ,Ozzy Osbourne ,Marilyn Manson ,Tura Satana ,Matchbox 20 ,Far ,Incubus ,Sugar Ray ,Entombed ,Fu Manchu and some more.....
