We lead off with a hot one this month,SYSTEM OF A DOWN is a name you' ve probably heard quite a bit of over the last few months,what with Dino from Fear Factory and Tarrie from Tura Satana dropping the band's name at every opportunity .Though System are based in L.A.,the band (Serj,Daron,John and Shavo) are of Armenian descent ,which probably accounts for the infectiously odd moments in their mental beat.The band's self-titled third demo,which features the three blinding tracks "Know","War?" and "Peep-hole",sparked off a major label bidding war in the States,with the mighty Geffen corporation winning their signatures.System's as yet untitled debut album is currently being recorded in L.A. with Slayer/Beastie Boys knob twiddler Rick Rubin producing.For more info on this soon to be massive band,check out their Web site: www.labands.com/system/.
