OUR PLAYLIST

Hey System brotherz and sisterz.....what's up?
Welcome to the new section of my site...the most personal and probably funny part of it all ,where we get to know each other better (musicaly..eh eh). This is where i'll weekly post System of a Down fans playlists....which means what's HOT on yr stereo ,the records you've been listening to lately.
This gives us the possibility of spreading the word about new bands ,or to simply have a clue about what's goin' on over there.Ok ,too much talkin' now....here's my ,your ,OUR playlists...enjoy!

Matteo Cipolla (me!)

  • System of a Down-System of a Down
What could I say??This album fucken' rox!!!When you hear "Suite-pee" and the new versions of War and expecially Peep-hole ,you r gunna love it!The whole album is great ,really I didn't expect it to be so good ,but I am happy to say I was definitely wrong. It really grows on you ,and then you arrive at a point where the songs are stuck in yr head and the cd is alaways playing....i am really addicted to that cd ,and u know what?some songs are in my head as much as those boring chorus like "i'm a barbiegirl" or "mmbob!"....I can't stop singin' them!!!!!this is my state....get it or die.....

  • The Smashing Pumpkins-Adore
Following the band since Gish came out ,i really feared that after the platinum records for Mellon collie....the band turned out in a "1979/tonight ,tonight band" ,which is not the way I'd love to see 'em...Adore prooves that they still kick ass ,and even if the album is mainly acoustic and soft ,it takes a while before you really start to get into the songs ,to understand them....which is not what happened with songs like Bullet with....or 1979.The album is very good ,and the lyrics are very close and personal ,expecially when Billy talks about his mother's death. The only regret I have is about the drumming....the lost of Jimmy C. is something you can strongly feel ,also cuz there r lots of drum machines....personally I think that if he was still in the band ,the whole cd would have been heavier...but so far is good anyway.

  • Coal Chamber-Loco
Their 1st single! It contains 2 useless remixes ,but the coolest thing is that there is a brand new kick ass song called "Blisters".It's a little different from their debut album ,but definitely CC.Let's say it's a different level...

  • Kilgore-A search for Reason
Check 'em at the Ozzfest! That's all I can say. This band is very very good...the singer reminds me of Mike Patton from FNM ,and the music is simply great. They cover a lot of ground ,and if on one song they seem the typical metal band ,on the other they r more poppy and then very crossover-ish.Definitely worth checking them out now at the Ozzfest and in August when they'll hit the road with Fear Factory and Slayer.Oh ,one more thing...Burton C. Bell guests on the album as well...

  • Livid-Demo
A new cali band.I just got the demo ,and even if sometimes they r a little too reminiscent of the Deftones ,I think they r brilliant. The demo has 3 GREAT songs ,my favourite being "Failure" ,with one of the best chorus i have ever heard.I think u'll hear a lot about them in the future.

  • Slayer-Diabolus in Musica
Hell yeah!!I adore this album...is so heavy! The opening song is definitely among my top 20 favourite songs ever. The riff is so great!And...did u notice that "Stain of Mind" is somehow similar to Coal Chamber "Loco"?No ,that doesn' t mean that Slayer wanna be "trendy" or stuff like that...absolutely!That only means that Slayer ain't stuck in the old style classic metal ,and that they can still sound fresh and modern.Slayer ,u rule!!!
