-November 20th 1998:What a GREAT news!!!SYSTEM will open ,along with PanterA, for Black Sabbath on January 6, 1999 at the Great Western Forum in Los Angeles.Tickets will go on sale VERY soon...and some dates of the tour are already sold-out.That means that you have to run to your record store NOW to get a ticket....dont be late!!!::)

    NEW YORK, November 9, 1998 – So many superstars, so little disc space! When "South Park's" soulful Chef (Isaac Hayes) winds up on the wrong side of a bad legal judgment, Stan, Kyle, Kenny and Cartman rally some of today's hottest music superstars for the concert event of the decade, compiled on the American Recordings/Columbia Records release, Chef Aid: The South Park Album, hitting stores November 24.

    Inspired by the October 7 episode of the hit series "South Park" titled "Chef Aid," the soundtrack features new tracks by an array of artists from across the music spectrum. They are:

    "Kenny's Dead" - an adaptation of the Curtis Mayfield classic "Freddy's Dead" performed by Master P

    The citizens of "South Park" are out in full force on the album, which includes some classic tracks from the series:

    "Chocolate Salty Balls (P.S. I love You)" - performed by Chef (Isaac Hayes)
    "Come Sail Away" - a cover of the Styx classic performed by Eric Cartman
    "Simultaneous" - performed by Chef (Isaac Hayes)

    Chef Aid: The South Park Album will be available in two cover-art versions.

    Executive producers for "Chef Aid: The South Park Album" are Trey Parker and Matt Stone with Rick Rubin as executive producer for American Recordings.

    "South Park" airs on Comedy Central Wednesdays at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT.

    Larry Lieberman is the executive producer of "Chef Aid: The South Park Album" for Comedy Central.

    Trey Parker and Matt Stone are co-creators and executive producers of "South Park," with Anne Garefino as executive producer and Debbie Liebling as the executive producer for Comedy Central.

  • I recently had the GREAT chance to see and meet the band.Soon I'll let ya know everything about one of the best day of my life.The band is still on the road with Slayer and Sepultura ,watch here for the dates.

  • I know it's an old news ,but since I didn't post it so far ,I am gunna do that now.Here's what Serj had to say about some rumors that came out during their recent toir with Incubus.

    This is Serj, I'm contacting you from the ether, for I am dead. To clear up rumors, I was not in a car accident to Pittsburgh, but got delayed for 6 hours due to unforseen traffic. Sorry to the fans in Pittsburgh. We'll be back through soon. Regarding the security issue during the show at Club Laga, we have worked through it and have no ill feelings towards any staff of the club or the other bands on the tour. We actually appreciate the band members and the music of Incubus and Dial 7 very much.

    its almost 2 pm and i am in my room.my dad just passed away an hour ago.in the meantime i have called all my closest friends and told them what happened.i left the hospital with the sight of a woman,my mum,who has just lost the person she's loved for all her life.my room is all messed up ,and hints of pure histeria r still visible.i would get drunk right now...but i wont.i will try to overcome this disgrace and to get something positive.Really ,I dont even know why i am writing some lines on my web page....which is connected much more to music.Well ,I think somehow I am not that far from the right thing to do right now.Cuz actually I am listening to music right now...the only noise I can hear in my silent world.Right now music is the most important help.Music translates everything my friends have been trying to tell me in the last few minutes....and it sounds great.Its THE thing that gets me goin' right now....when all i can think about is that i dont have a father anymore.I see in my memory some pictures....they r about what we shared.It was simply special and unique ,just like any other relationship between dad and son.For sure i hated him....we argued a lot ,but in the end ya couldnt help but to admit that u loved him.I did.I did love him more than any girlfriend i ever had.Hey,it was my dad after all ,so I think most of u have already understood what i mean.I still complain about the reason why i am writing this here....maybe cuz i dont have brothers or sisters ,maybe cuz i had to put it all out ,maybe cuz i have cried too much.Or maybe simply cuz through the web i wanna reach more people by saying one last thing.Kids ,when u r pissed off and angry ,like i usually was with my dad ,just know that even if he acts like a guy u would punch....he's still your dad.I am crying right now...once again.Finally ,just know that the pain you'll get through once he wont be there with u ,is NOTHING if compared to the hate u got towards him.Thanx 4 listening.

  • "Suite-Pee" is featured on Kerrang! new compilation ,The Devil's Jukebox.You can get the cd for free by getting a copy of Kerrang! (August 29 issue).Also featured on the cd are Korn ,Rob Zombie and Sepultura.
  • According to many sources ,including some Slayer and Sepultura sites on the Web and Pollstar ,System of a Down will almost surely open for Slayer and Sepultura on their upcoming tour ,which hits Milan on November the 3rd.Stay tuned for all the dates.

  • According to french magazine HardForce Magazine ,System would play 2 french dates with Slayer and Sepultura.The magazine says the 10th of November in Paris (Zenith) and on the 14th in Nancy.Remember ,there's nothing official...it's just what i read.
  • When in Paris...I visited the Virgin Megastore.I was extremely happy to see that the System album was well exposed and got some cool reviews over there.Yesterday instead i took a walk in Milan and found out that in the best music store of the town ,the System debut is...SOLD-OUT!!!!!Great!

  • I am back!!The holidays are over now...and I am back for good.The trip to France was good ,but a little insane as well...(puking from the 11th floor has never been one of my goals....eh eh).

  • Wassup my System fellaz???I am just back from a couple of GREAT weeks spent at the beach....wow!It was so cool!I met lots of new ppl ,drank a lot ,spent time w. chicks (German and Swiss rule!:) and spread the word about System to all the ppl who were there.Some guys from Holland already had the cd ,and it was cool to see how fast the System virus is getting around!
  • Today is my birthday!I am 20!I am wating 4 yr messages..write here

  • System has finished recording their monstrous debut album due June 30 and are now waiting to start the "Diabolus In Musica Tour" with Slayer and Clutch.
  • Yesterday I went to a killer show.One Minute Silence+Far+Incubus.....as usual i had my System t-shirt ,and an Incubus roadie stopped me and asked me about them.He asked whether I had already seen 'em live ,and i was forced to say "NO" (i cant wait man!)...So he started to tell me about how cool they are ,and how cool Serj is onstage.He said he's a great frontman....and now I can't really wait for the band to tour Europe and (of course) Italy.

    • -April 27th 1998: I just received the Diabolus in Musica Tour Sampler....and it rulz! I just can't stop playing the tape...the new System song ,"Suite-Pee" is AWESOME!It starts with some harmonics....and then a great riff follows...i think this song is gunna be a classic for the band.I also heard the new Slayer song...excellent as well!So ,don't forget that the new Slayer album its out June 9....and System of a Down debut album hits the shops on June 16th!You have been warned!

  • I just added the dates of the new System tour...along with Slayer and Clutch.The tour is called "Diabolous in Musica"....as the new Slayer album ,which will hit the stores on June 9th (a pretty cool summer eh??).The dates are here....
  • Yesterday i went to see Tura Satana and it was cool.I met the whole band ,and before the show something cool happened.I was talkin w Tura bassist...and i told him that through Tura Satana i heard of System of a Down and that now i am a huge fan.So he opened his shirt and he showed me...his System t-shirt!!!Cool!So he called Tarrie B. ,who came there and said how "cool the guys in System are".What happened then?That the girl started filming me with her personal camera...and asked me how i got in touch with System.I was there and started saying things like "I heard of them through the great Tarrie B.....and....i wanna see a double killer bill featuring System and Tura..." and things like that.No guys...i wasn't drunk....it's just that i was full of enthusiasm for those cool bands.Anyway....all that is gunna be in the 1st Tura Satana official homevideo!!!Cool!
    And u know what?Rico (the bass player) told me he always said "u people gotta check out this band" and used to give away System demos.....and he ended up with not even one for himself...eh eh. So he asked me for one....which i gave him immeiately.That's the end of my great night with Tura Satana....i hoped u enjoyed the System connection as well!:))

  • I met Shirley Manson from Garbage today.Not only she is totally cool ,extra babe ,friendly ,nice and very down to earth (am i in love??LOL) ,but she also told me about her punk past and stuff....so i gave her a System of a Down demo.She was happy ,and she told me she read about the band in Kerrang!.Cool!She should e-mail me some time...i'll let u know what she thinks of the demo.

  • System of a Down debut album will be released through Columbia on JUNE 15TH!!It seems like this is gonna be the final date so.......start saving your money for what is gonna be the heaviest debut album since Korn or Adrenaline...
  • The band will tour the U.S. in May with Slayer and Clutch....and soon after that ,they will play on the second stage at the Ozzfest '98....You want the dates?Here they are....
  • No word about some european shows....but i am SURE that once the Ozzfest will be over ,the band will come visit Europe as well.....in my opinion is gonna be a very HOT fall....

    • -March 15th 1998:System just played in Sacramento...and among the crowd ,there was even a guy called Chino ,singer of the local band Deftones....Just kidding guys...CHINO the man was there ,witnessing System of a Down blinding set.Cool!
    Still talkin' about System live......don't forget to check the band on their upcoming tour supporting Slayer.They' r gonna play in the most important US cities...before starting the Ozzfest in July.Be there!!!!

    Ok..i'll go straight to the point...the Ozzfest '98 is gonna be one of the highlights of this summer ,with many cool bands playing.The bands roumored to appear are Slayer, Incubus,Coal Chamber, Soulfly and Sevendust...but if you really want to have the greatest bill of the year,then you must have System of a Down on the bill as well...

    • -Feb. 19th 1998: A new guest has been added to my personal list of celebrities who got the System demo through me.....the last kid (!) who got it is Lemmy from Motorhead.I gave him the demo...and despite his age (the man is 52 years old), he told me: "Oh yeah, i know this band.They are from L.A., right?". I was very surprised that he alreay knew the band..but maybe I shouldn't,cuz the band we are talkin' about is the one that is gonna RULE 1998.....the SysTeM is comin' near u very very soon...

    -Feb. 12th 1998: A couple of days ago I had the big pleasure to meet Chino and Steph from the Deftones, and when we talked about new bands to watch out in '98,they named System of a Down as well! They even told me they already got the demo,and that they had just listened to it a few hours before i met them.Simply awesome!

  • On Feb. 6th i met Everclear...which you could hate or love,but what's important is that i gave them the System demo.The guys seemed very intersted,expecially when i told them about System's armenian influences and that they are gonna record with Rick Rubin.Everclear are just the last band who received System's demo by me.In fact,i also gave the demo to different but cool bands such as Matchbox 20,Incubus (read my interview with them here),Machine Head (who already knew the guys) and the mighty Ozzy Osbourne.

    "Hey what's up!! Just really quick here, but after alot of talking. The guys in System of a Down have decided that they don't want to have anything to do with SOAD anymore. They just want to be referred to as System of a Down or System, because they don't want anyone getting them confused with the band SOD. I know it sucks cause we've all been used to writing SOAD but if you can just tell all the people you talk too to change it..."

    -Jan. 13th 1998: The release date for the debut album has changed......there isn't a definitive date yet.....but it's confirmed that it will hit the shops in June.In the meantime,check out a new article about the band and some new pics.

    -Jan. 12th 1998: SOAD are playing a gig at the CLUB 369 1641 Placention Ave. , Fullerton on Jan. 16 th.......be there and review the concert for my site.
